Dream, Yume Nara Samenaide

Listening to: Go My Way; Ohayou!! Asagohan (Good morning!! Breakfast); Agent Yoru wo Yuku (The Agent Departs at Night); Taiyou no Jealousy (The Sun's Jealousy)- iDOLM@STER Live for You!(Nico Nico Remix A)

Theeeeeyyyy're baaaaaack!

I sang the third song, Agent Yoru wo Yuku for an audition. =3 It's a fun song. But the version I was singing was like two times as fast as this.

Anywho!

Second week of testing should be starting soon. Bleck.

Let's go over the tests I have this week!

Monday: World History Vocab Quiz
Tuesday: Geometry test + Chemistry test
Wednesday: Geometry STAR test
Thursday: Life Science STAR test + Chemistry STAR test
Friday: Japanese quiz

And possibly a quiz in English on Tuesday.

That covers all of the academic classes, doesn't it?

And my Japanese project is due next Friday. I'll post it up here when it's done.

And my Honors US History application is due this Friday. So aside from homework and studying, I also have to write an essay on the fall of communism in the Soviet Union.

Gross.

Balalaika~

Listening to: Nico Nico Douga Ura Kumikyoku

xD

Even though they mess up a few times, they just get so into it... It's funny.

This video right here describes Otaku Culture. Anime, ranging from harem romance to psychological thriller; Videogames (lovely Idolmaster!); J-pop (Balalaika by Kusumi Koharu); The Prince of Tennis Musical; The Loituma Song; Fork in tongue; men in funny outfits...

I lurv it.

Anywho, what has been going on...?

STAR Testing. English and Social Studies. 'Twas easy.

So, I went to the Japan trip meeting on Wednesday. Jonathan and Nathaniel are going. It was so funny seeing their parents! Afterwards, I was talking with my friends. Nathaniel pointed out that I love the term spiffy, Jonathan hates it, and he's indifferent. So we have everything covered. xD

My mom then got really, really close to Nathaniel when she introduced herself. She was practically shoving him up against the bookcase. xD At least, that's what I saw at my angle. Sorry, Nathaniel...!

And then I nearly died. I was looking at the ducklings in the creek that goes through my school, and I tripped on the chain link fence.

Yesterday was ASB Elections. And the speeches. The guys I was rooting for, Andrew Knaack and Doug Nguyen, made it. Yay. Doug dressed up as Mario. Andrew dressed up as Princess Peach. It takes guts to jump out in front of the school in a pink dress, blonde wig, and princess crown.

I babysat for a family friend after school. Or rather, after Anime Club. I had to leave JUST as they were about to move back to the Lecture Hall and get the meeting officially started.

It was a long, hot walk to their house. ;______;

I'm so sleepy... I have math and Chem testing next week... Yuck.

Oh, one more thing. The Japan trip has been moved up from the twenty-eighth to the twenty-second. Two days after my birthday! =D wewtt!

I'm gonna ask for money for my birthday. That way I can raid the stores! >=D And bring back souvenirs.

Is it July yet...?

Music Review #1: Resonant Blue

Resonant Blue by Morning Musume:

Resonant Blue is MM's 36th single. Good job, girls!

Now, for the review.

Resonant Blue mixes the old with the new. It is not unlike the more recent singles, Onna ni Sachi Are or Kanashimi Twilight, but it also has a similar feel to the songs released while the fourth generation members were around. Yoshizawa Hitomi, who graduated Morning Musume about a year ago, and also left role of captain to Takahashi Ai, would suit this song well, I think.

The lead vocals are Takahashi Ai and Tanaka Reina, which is a shame in my opinion. While Takahashi does have a relatively strong voice, she and Reina have been the lead singers in almost every single released since they came in. It would be nice to see a bit of change.

Perhaps give the part to Kamei Eri, who has managed to go by unnoticed. While she does get the occasional solo, she hasn't really gotten a chance to show what she's got. Mitsui Aika, as far as I can tell, has never had a major part. Kusumi Koharu sings more than others, and Niigaki Risa gets a few moments to shine, but I have a feeling she'll be in Morning Musume for a while.

The problem I have is Li Chun and Qian Lin. The two Chinese members haven't gotten much of a chance to show their talent, save for a line each in Onna ni Sachi Are. Chun is a very talented singer, with a very strong voice. Lin I don't for as much, as her voice is a little too rough for my taste.

The B-side, Sono Bamen de Bibiccha Ikenai jan!:

This song is almost exactly like one that would have been performed by the older generations, which makes it a nice change. As far as I can tell (I'm still not that great identifying voices just yet) JunJun and LinLin get slightly large parts than normal, but still, the lead vocals are Takahashi Ai and Tanaka Reina.

I hope the next single, they give some other singers bigger parts!

I'm freeee!

Listening to: 9:02 Remix-- Miura Azusa from the iDOLM@STER

I've recently become obsessed with the Idolmaster (it's too much of a pain to spell it out correctly). It's a Japan-only (Come to the US~) videogame where you play a producer for an aspiring pop idol.

Here's the trailer (featuring all of the characters):

Azusa is my favorite. She's so cute. And she's like me. =3 An overly-romantic and day-dreamy ditz. xD

Here's a link to a blog entry by otaku-god, Dom, about it:

http://blog.wired.com/games/2007/01/the_idolmster_m.html

It's very amusing. But he's describing the arcade version, which is pretty different from the XBox version.

But let's move on!

What has happened lately...?

The newest Morning Musume single came out, Resonant Blue. The B-side to the single is the only song so far that Li Chun and Qian Lin, the group's "Chinese Exchange Students" AKA members, get a respectable solo. The only solo I remember them getting was like three words each in Onna ni Sachi Are. Poor Chuugaku-jin-sans. ;_____;

Oh, I also took Driver's Ed.

Holy crap, I'm going to die.

For four days, we spent seven and a half hours (minus lunch and breaks) either doing boring worksheets, or watching videos telling us we will die.

And it will happen.

And it will be horrible.

Yuck.

We watched such gems as a remake of Red Asphalt, Please God, I'm Only Seventeen, and some other Disney film (DISNEY) about a smart, careful young teenage girl who got run over by a drunk driver when she went to get something out of her car on the side of the freeway. We watched videos telling us we will die in a car, on a bike, walking, and just standing there. Good god.

I told my mother, "I'm no longer afraid of driving. I'm now afraid of dying a horrible, bloody death."

*shudder*

Asides from that, not much has happened. Hooray for boring life-ness! =D

SPECIAL: Anime Review 1

So.... I've decided to write a little review on two anime that just premiered this week. =3

Special A: [English manga licensed by VIZ]
Special A, or S.A., is about the tomboyish Hikari whose goal in life is to beat her rival, Kei. However, she always come second... The two of them are the top two students in their school, and therefore gain special rights and privileges. Little does Hikari know that Kei has a crush on her...

I read a few volumes of the manga before I got bored from cliched, typical scenarios and lack of romance due to Hikari's sheer stupidity (it goes past denseness, my friends). The art is average at best.

Anime-wise? Not much better. As far as I can tell, it follows the manga pretty well for the first episode. The characters are waaaay too tall. xD It's like Skip Beat! only Skip Beat! has better plot. x3

I'm not going to bother following it.

Vampire Knight: [English manga licensed by VIZ]

Vampire Knight is a decent series. It follows Yuuki, a student at Cross Academy, who, with the help of good friend Zero, is in charge of maintaining peace between the Day Class and the beautiful Night Class. But what the Day Class (which is filled with Night Class fangirls) doesn't know is that the students of the Night Class are all vampires.

Normally I hate vampire romance stories. But this one isn't your typical vampire-boy-and-human-girl-fall-in-love manga. Kaname is in love with Yuuki, who has loved him since childhood, but is struggling with her puppy-love feelings for him and growing love for Zero. Zero is a vampire hunter, haunted by the murder of his clan by a vicious and sadistic vampire, but later becomes the one creature he hates the most. Yuuki is thrown into a world where she must try to remember the memories Kaname erased and stop Zero from losing his sanity.

Okay. Anime now.

The anime is... huh. The art is not unlike the original, but a little more... blocky. The coloring isn't as detailed as other series and there is a lack of black line. It's interesting. However, I had to stop watching half way as it was becoming an obviously KanamexYuuki plotline... And I'm ZeroxYuuki, completely. I could waste your time and tell you why I prefer ZeYuu, but I have decided not to.

Final verdict? Disappointing.

We need to see some better series as anime! Skip Beat! Most definitely would watch that! Kaze Hikaru! Again, would definitely tune in! I hope that the Japanese anime industry doesn't overlook some excellent stories....

Aoi Aoi Ano Sora...

Listening to: Blue Bird- Ikimono Gakari

Naruto FTW

I love what the uploader says on this video's description.

"I smell fillers..."

I ker-lurv this song. It's pretty and sad... And the opening video (before the weirdo filler people) is really spiffy and emo...

Not much has happened. Sony Star and AP English portfolios are in. Marsha can't go to Japan, so it'll just be me and the boys. Nathaniel and I have planned that if the Japanese try to eat us, we'll use Johnathan as a distraction. >=D

Ahhh, fun...

Put up my Iroppoi Jirettai video... Hopefully some people will audition. No auditions have come in for Morning Coffee, even though people have said they will... The problem is, I'm still a newb in the group dubbing world. Most of my subscribers are from the FFX video I put up. I've only had one group dub that I'm in actually be released. Very few people view my page. So all I need is ONE finished group dub made by me and my popularity will raise a little.

If not in high school, then on the internet.

After this, I have one or two more group dub videos finished to upload. After those, I'll do some classic MM songs (but Morning Coffee is about as classic as it gets.)

I did Passport stuff yesterday. I should get it by the end of the school year, my mom said.

My dad is SO far behind on Death Note. Maybe four or five episodes? We have some serious anime watching to do.

Listening to: Iroppoi Jirettai- Morning Musume

I like this song. I'll be doing a group dub for it soon. =3

Anywho!

My iPod died, so meh daddy lent me an iPod Touch from his work. =D It's spiffy.

Spring break is next week. Mental note, quit referencing the Gilmore Girls' "Girls gone wild and boys doing the twist" line when mentioning Spring break... The reactions I get aren't exactly what I expected.

Nathaniel and Jonathan are going on the Japan trip this summer. Yayz. =D Marsha may be going, too.

Today's entry is le short. Sorry.

It's April already!

Listening to: Yoshite, Yoshite- Yoshizawa Hitomi

Is it me or do the solos for MM include a kanji from their name...? Kago AI's RenAI tte Naani? and Iida Kaori's Anata no Kami no Kaori and Ishikawa Rika's rikaishite > Onna no ko....

I love this song. Yossie is a great singer and I lurv the lyrics:

Whatever I do, I'm such a klutz
Whatever you do, you look good

Whatever I look at, my heart beats fast
This is love, isn't it? What'll happen now?

Stay by my side forever
If I'm worried, I'll tell you all about it

I want to look at you forever
I'm sorry I'm such a crybaby

"Stop it, stop it..." Someone's watching
"But, but..." I'll close my eyes
But, but, for some reason, for some reason
I'm a little scared

"Stop it, stop it..." Someone's watching
"But, but..." I love you
But, but, for some reason, for some reason
Ah, I end up closing my eyes

If something happens, I feel down
This is love, isn't it? It'll become painful

I'll follow you anywhere
I'll believe in whatever you say

No matter where we are
I want us to see a big dream together

"Stop it, stop it..." I'm gonna cry
"But, but..." I close my eyes
But, but, for some reason, for some reason
I'm so happy

"Stop it, stop it..." I'm gonna cry
"But, but..." It's not that I don't want you to
But, but, for some reason, for some reason
Ah, tears fall from my eyes

"Stop it, stop it..." Someone's watching
"But, but..." I love you
But, but, for some reason, for some reason
Ah, I end up closing my eyes

Hee. I like it so much. <3

Anywho!

It's been a while, hasn't it? It's changed from March to April... I finished Sony Star, thank GOD. Today I saw my cousin Leland. Apparently he and his twin Stephen cosplayed at SakuraCon. And guess who he went as? Ouran High's favorite cynical, twisted, fake-twincest-forbidden-love twins... Hikaru and Kaoru Hitachiin! They flipped coins and Leland dyed his hair blue and Stephen went pink. Leland's dye faded easily (now he's straw blonde) but Stephen's hair is still shockingly magenta. It's funny. Pictures...! Pictures...!

I joined a Get Up! Rapper group dub as Maeda Yuki. Sarah is Kago Ai. Her voice is cute. And totally weird. O.o

I also applied to ME project, a more in-depth group. If I get in (which I probably will) I will be part of International Musume and sing MM songs. It is less private, as a photo is required. But since we don't have to give our names or locations, it's perfectly safe. Besides, I photoshopped the photo so much (to get rid of bad lighting and pimples) that it doesn't look that much like me. xD

It seems like fun. I'm excited.

I'm getting my passport photo taken tomorrow. I'm sorry, everyone, but I am now an official brunette. My hair has always been between blonde and brown, that weird shade that only blondes can have when their hair has darkened.

But wanna know why I'm having my passport renewed?

I'M GOING TO JAPAN!

Yup.

xD

Normally the trip is in the spring. But my Japanese teacher wants to take another group and see more places. But not enough 3rd year students actually could come. So he let us second years apply. And my parents said I could go!

YESSSSSSS!

I'm so excited. I'll be going to Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, Nara, and some other places. The downside though, is that it will only be for nine days (including plane) and it will be freaking hot and humid. Ugh. Oh well. I'll tie my hair up, buy myself some tank tops and skirts, and make the best of my time!

This will take place in late July, early August. We'll JUST be missing O-bon, actually. >.>

So, yet again, I'm uber-stoked (a rare word for Kokoro to use). Yay, Japan! =D

I hope Sarah can come. And Leah, even though her parents probably won't be able to send her, even if they okay the trip. And Marsha, even though she may have trouble, too. Oooh, and Jonathan, definitely! I'll need another blonde there (I don't care what my passport says) if Leah can't make it. And Nathaniel, definitely Nathaniel. He's taller than me. He makes me look shorter. xD But I'd love to go to Japan with him. It is, after all, the shoujo capital of the world.

*is shot for being stupid*
