Saturday, 14th

Flying there.


Sunday, 15th

arrive in Tokyo at 4:35p

switch to plane leaving Tokyo at 6:25p

arrive in Nagoya at 8:00p

go through customs and pick up luggage

take train from airport to Nagoya Station

secure rail passes at Nagoya Station

check into Chisun Inn Hotel

prepare bags; we will leave big bag at youth hostel in Osaka


Monday, 16th

check out of hotel at 5:30a

take Shinkansen for Osaka , leaving at 6:30a

arrive in Osaka at 7:29a, take large bags to youth hostel

return to Shin-Osaka Station and travel to Mt. Koya

lunch at Koya High School , spend several hours with students

have thank-you note ready for school person

sightseeing in Koya

dinner at Renge Join Temple


Tuesday, 17th

morning chants and breakfast at Renge Join Temple

sightseeing in Koya

leave for Osaka around noon, arrive in mid-afternoon

drop off smaller bag at youth hostel

visit Nagasaki Chinese Shrine and Kwassui University

meet Kwassui University students from wiki project

go to Kwassui High School and meet homestay families


Friday, 20th

go with families to Kwassui High School (you will pay your own way if going by bus or non-JR train)

spend day at school with Mr. Hirao's class

have thank-you note ready for Mr. Hirao or other school person who helps you

return home with student, spend evening with family


Saturday, 21st

morning and afternoon with families

meet at Nagasaki Station at 3:45p

leave for Fukuoka at 4:25p

switch in Fukuoka to 6:30p shinkansen for Osaka

arrive in Osaka at 8:58p

late dinner in Shin-Osaka area

check into youth hostel

I'm not looking forward to the fact that about half of the trip will be spent traveling.

Today in anime club we watched the movie "The Girl who Leapt Through Time". My goodness, that was a sad ending.

He was only two inches away from kissing her! Dx So close...!



But it made me feel a little lonely again. I kept on thinking about Nate... I guess that means I'm not over him, doesn't it?

Here's what you missed. x3


After getting teh rejects, I sulked and moped for about five minutes before my mom rudely and insensitively beat it out of me.

(My heart was broken, darn it!)


I had a four day weekend so I slept.

The Inauguration was that Tuesday, too.


So we returned to school, a new semester, a new president, and a not-so-new outlook on life.


I still wasn't over it. xD



School was school. I had some hard tests and boring classes and all that fun.



Last weekend I chatted with Syrus for the first time in a while.


I think I must have been drunk, because somehow the conversation got knocked up to an R rating. xD


My goodness.



But since then, I've felt a lot better...






Anywho.



Japan is in 11 days. =O


I know my itinerary. x3



First we'll be flying from San Francisco to Tokyo, then switching flights to Nagoya.


We'll check into the Nagoya hotel (the same from last year) and spend the night before waking up early and taking the shinkansen to Osaka.

We'll drop our stuff off at the hostel and then go to Mt. Koya, where we will spend the day at the high school (and the monks) before spending the night in a temple.

Then we will wake up early in the morning and return to Osaka.

We'll play at Umeda and Nanba and explore Osaka.


We'll spend a day in Kyoto, doing all the Kyoto things. =D Sanjuusangendou Temple, Kiyomizudera, the International Manga Museum, Kyoto Station, and Teramachi. x3


Then we'll go down to Kyuushuu and Nagasaki. We'll go to Kwassui Women's College, tour the campus, before meeting our host families.

The next day, we'll meet at the high school and spend the day with the class we've been talking with.

We'll hang out with our families for another day before returning to the hostel.


After some more fun, we'll return to Nagoya and fly back to California. =D



My host is named Hikaru Kitahara. She is sixteen and loves to shop and sing.

She has a very cute name, so I hope she is very cute, too. x3

She's an only child, so I hope to get along with her parents~


I'm excited. Only 11 days~
